An insidious illness is stealing the vitality of millions of men, women and children. Systemic Candida or chronic Candidiasis, is an overgrowth of yeast, which is normally present in healthy bodies. Most commonly, Candida grows out of control, taking on the properties of a fungus, and invades a person's mucous, blood and nervous systems following prolonged antibiotic use. Other common causes include nutritional deficiencies and the use of birth control pills and/or steroids.
In Shannon's case repeated courses of antibiotics caused her 15 year bout with systemic Candida. She was constantly living with memory problems, depleted energy, panic attacks, migraine headaches, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), skin irritation and struggling with her weight. " I was miserable, I saw my health and my life fading away right before my eyes, Doctors could not pin point the primary cause and the medications just kept piling up. Candida was controlling my life, and then even worse news, my doctor told me I had a mass of fungus growing in one of my lungs. Operation was the only option, they could both be life threatening, the operation and the fungus." Shannon said. Six months later, while at a Spa training convention, Shannon met naturopathic Dr. Linda T Nelson, and finally a diagnosis, an answer, a solution. After a forty-five day treatment program with a very specific combination of supplements and diet plan, recovery was just around the corner. "I had more energy, a better memory, my IBS was gone, I lost 30lbs in approximately sixty days and I had regained vitality".
Shortly after defeating Candida, Shannon became a Certified Wellness Coach to help others suffering from the disorder.
She has successfully helped several people recover from Candida, Weight troubles, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes issues and other auto immune disorders. "Often people sit in my office and just cry because they are so miserable with their health problems, some have even admitted to considering suicide. I feel like this is God's purpose for my life, to help others just like me, to overcome and conquer, to live happy healthy lives". Shannon said.
